TAYLOR SIMMONS
Veterinary Assistant
Taylor joined the Energy Equine team in March of 2023. She grew up in Calgary and spent most of her time working in barns and on the racetrack with the thoroughbreds. She attended Olds College and took the Vet Tech Assistant program during high school. Taylor worked in small animal emergency medicine for a few years, but always wanted to get into large animal medicine. She used Energy Equine for her own horses, and according to Taylor, she was elated to have the chance to work for such a fantastic clinic. Taylor believes the most important thing about her role is advocating for the animals, big or small. Loving on all of her patients is truly her favourite part of the job. In her free time, you can find her with her own animals, out riding, hiking or camping!
CASSIDY THATCHER
Veterinary Assistant
Cassidy started at Energy Equine mid April 2023. You’ll primarily find her at the south clinic, Synergy Equine. She grew up just south of High River and spent most of her life around animals. After graduating the Veterinary Medical Assistant program at Lakeland College in 2017 she started her career in mixed animal, then shifted to small animal surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, riding horses and spending time in the mountains. Cassidy enjoys most how everyone works like a team and is always smiling at Energy Equine.
