LOUISA MURCH-WHITE
Clinic Director
Louisa was pulled to Energy Equine for a variety of reasons, including the company’s over-arching focus on the equine athlete, innovative and collaborative outlook and the fact the team isn't scared to be unique! The story goes that she stalked Dr. Hewlett around a variety of events before he gave her a job in May of 2018 as the team’s social media manager. She has since gone on to wear the hat of Director of Marketing, and now Clinic Director. Louisa’s personal and professional lives often overlap, her passion is in the western discipline of cutting and she is heavily involved in the performance horse industry. A former National Cutting Horse Association World Finalist, she is currently a Director within various levels of the NCHA and can be found at horse shows on the weekend, showing her horse, Chivas.
NANCY HEWLETT
Director of Finance
Nancy is an integral part of the Energy Equine team, handling the myriad of financial responsibilities that come with a clinic, as well as human resources and much of the day-to-day operations that keep Energy Equine afloat. Her background in the dental world means that she brings a wealth of knowledge to bridging operations and administration, and is hyper-aware of customer service and client retention. In her spare time she is passionate about permaculture, she operates Sage Creek Permaculture with Chad and spending time in the mountains alongside her family.
SHYANN LOCKHART
Admin & Marketing Coordinator
Shyann is a BKin graduate from the University of Calgary, and is a graduate of NTTI as a Certified Equine Sport Therapist. Shyann grew up on a cattle ranch in southern Alberta, and horses have been near and dear to her heart since she was a young girl. After spending 11 years working at a private sport and social club in downtown Calgary, she came to Energy Equine in 2022 and sat in the Energy Equine Reception role for over a year. In 2023 she moved in to the Admin & Marketing Coordinator role and has taken over our social media feeds, sponsorships, trade shows and events and is still a helping hand in reception, as needed. Shyann also offers Bodywork services at Energy Equine!
MOIRA ANDERSON
Inventory & Pharmacy Technician
Moira joined Energy Equine in December of 2022 in the role of Inventory & Pharmacy Technician. Based out of our north clinic, Moira is responsible for many behind the scenes tasks that ensure our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes ordering, stocking and reporting of inventory and medications, dispensing under the guidance of veterinarians and tracking and reporting of controlled drugs and radiology. Prior to becoming an RVT, Moira was an assistant at an equine practice and developed an interest in radiology while helping in the MRI. After graduating in 2020 from Lakeland College in she worked at a small animal general practice and then moved to a large referral and emergency centre where she helped revamp the radiology service, focusing on helping Radiologists with ultrasonography and running the CT for the clinic.
LEAH CAMPBELL
Synergy Equine Receptionist & Inventory
Leah Campbell is a graduate of the BC College of Equine Sports Therapy, spends her spare time barrel racing on her great horse, Player, and has been a long-time client of Energy Equine. She also has a background working in dressage and show jumping barns, which is where we ended up spending a lot of time working alongside her before she officially joined our team in November of 2020! Leah is kind, attentive and enthusiastic, and there aren't many moments she doesn't have a smile on her face. You can find her manning the front desk at Synergy Equine, and behind the scenes she also plays a pivotal role in overseeing the inventory of Synergy Equine.
JODI HABBERFIELD
Energy Equine Receptionist
Jodi is no stranger to the horse industry, and has been involved with horses as long as she can remember. She has navigated many equine disciplines throughout the years, and has enjoyed her time learning each and every one! Jodi is a mother to two beautiful girls and a step mom to two beautiful step kids. She and her hubby, Cory, live with their kiddos in the Crossfield area, and love any and all outdoorsy activities! Jodi was very excited to be able to join Energy Equine as one of the Admin Team Members, and we are lucky to have her!
LEAH JONES
Synergy Equine Receptionist
Leah Jones grew up in the Crowsnest Pass on a ranch where her love of horses started. She has since raised her daughter Justise, who recently started her 3rd year of University in Colorado, and, not suprisingly, is part of the rodeo team. Leah enjoys raising and training her own barrel racing horses, and has done so for the last 20 plus years. Being a client of Energy Equine, when an opportunity arose, she took a chance, applied, and the rest is history!
KYLIE MORRISON
Energy Equine Receptionist
Kylie grew up in Calgary and has a large background with different disciplines in the equine industry. She has experience managing equine boarding facilities, trail riding and veterinary barns. Previously she worked in small animal medicine but decided to switch to equine due to her passion for horses. As a former client of Energy, she jumped on the opportunity to join the team! When she is not at the clinic or the barn, she can be found out in the mountains with her mare Zaraya, or spending time with her family and friends.
