Energy Equine's Approach to Rehabilitation
Depending on the case our veterinarians will often utilize many of the services and modalities we would for our sports medicine cases and then build a specific treatment and rehabilitation program from there.
Many owners will opt to rehab their horses at home but some may not have the facilities or ability to do so. We are extremely lucky to work closely with two facilities that offer services for rehabilitation cases.
Coulee Equine
The second facility we routinely utilize is Coulee Equine in Olds, Alberta. Coulee Equine is Western Canada’s premier facility for equine conditioning, rehabilitation and wellness. Their beautiful facility features a water treadmill, cold salt water hydrotherapy spa, indoor equiciser and solarium. We work closely with the Coulee Equine team on rehabilitation cases, and our veterinarians visit their facility once a week to recheck and treat client horses that are there for rehabilitation and conditioning purposes.

Lastly, when it comes to rehabilitation of the equine athlete we have an extremely talented and knowledgeable network of bodyworkers, osteopaths, therapists and farriers that we can utilize to ensure that an entire team is focusing on getting your horse back to their best.
