Our Technologists

Crystal joined us in the spring of 2020 as a recent graduate from the Olds College Animal Health Technology program. Before taking the AHT program at Olds Crystal spent most of her career in the livestock industry in southern Alberta, working in feedlots, ranches and then as a livestock inspector with Livestock Identification Services. She is also a graduate of the Agriculture Diploma Program from the University of Manitoba.  Crystal’s passion for equines started at a very young age and has driven her to pursue a career as an equine technologist. In her spare time Crystal trains and competes in nose work with her Catahoula Leopard dog, Teague. Together with her husband they enjoy the outdoors, camping, fishing, and riding their horses.

Stacey Roberts graduated from Olds College in 2011 and since then has gone on to work at a variety of animal clinics. She also runs Rocky Hills Ranch, which offers western riding lessons and horse boarding in Okotoks, alongside her husband, Dusty, daughter, Sloan, and a variety of beloved animals from horses, to dogs, to even rabbits! Stacey competes in cutting horse competitions, barrel races, and can be found cheering on her daughter at gymkhana events in her spare time. She is currently with us part time at Synergy Equine on Tuesday's and Thursday's and has become an immense asset to Dr. Hewlett's team, and a friendly and approachable face for our clients.
