Denise joined Energy Equine as a technologist in February of 2021. She has always been fascinated by the intricacies of life which led to her obtaining a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences at the University of Konstanz, Germany – her country of origin. Being drawn to the field of veterinary medicine, she got licensed as an RVT after attending Olds College in the course of an overstayed planned working visit to Canada. Denise strives to provide the best care possible to all patients and clients coming through our doors. You will find her mostly at our north location or on farm.
Stacey Roberts graduated from Olds College in 2011 and since then has gone on to work at a variety of animal clinics. She also runs Rocky Hills Ranch, which offers western riding lessons and horse boarding in Okotoks, alongside her husband, Dusty, daughter, Sloan, and a variety of beloved animals from horses, to dogs, to even rabbits! Stacey competes in cutting horse competitions, barrel races, and can be found cheering on her daughter at gymkhana events in her spare time. She is currently with us part time at Synergy Equine on Tuesday's and Thursday's and has become an immense asset to Dr. Hewlett's team, and a friendly and approachable face for our clients.
Madison is originally from Sylvan Lake and has a background in rodeo, her family raises bucking horses and she barrel races. Upon graduating from Olds College in 2020 she came to work for Energy Equine. Having been a long-time client, she already knew many of the ins and outs of the clinic, and we were excited to see her complete her tech program and continue within the industry with our team. She has a special interest in sports medicine and rehab, and particularly enjoys Energy Equine for the fast pace, ability to work with performance horses and practice sports medicine. She enjoys spending her spare time with all her animals, including her horses, dogs and cat. In the future she would like to complete her certification in equine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee, and personally plans to run CPRA.
Hannah graduated from Olds College in 2013 and has worked primary with small animals but horses have always been a large part of her life. She works full time with a board-certified small animal surgeon but always looks forward to Fridays to work with the wonderful Energy Equine team at Synergy Equine. Hannah was drawn to the team spirit and dedication that Energy Equine offers to their clients and horses, and was excited to join them in the spring of 2021. She loves every aspect of maintaining a healthy and happy horse from keeping them in shape to regular maintenance. They truly are athletes! In her free time, she likes to take her horse to barrel races, go to the gym and crossfit classes.
